Since we're all in the mood for abolishing things right now. Let's abolish tokenism. We don't need another Black show on HBO, or recognition at the Grammy's. We don't need more representation in the Democratic Party or the Republican Party. We don't need another Black CEO of a destructive white owned corporation. We don't need more Black students in Ivy League schools or any PWI. They "let" a few of us in to all these institutions, companies, etc. to placate us and keep us from turning away from them completely. This is tokenism.
We need our own EVERYTHING. Our own entertainment, media, stores, schools, agencies, political organizations, governments, etc. Meaning completely funded and controlled by Afrikan people with Afrikan minds and Afrikan agendas. Not eurocentric people with Black skin (e.g. Daniel Cameron). This goes beyond simply creating Black versions of white systems. We have to rethink and reimagine the world to fit within an Afrikan asili. Stop accepting crumbs from yurugu's table and let's build our own.
